Loanhead's pubs, as in so many other Scottish towns, have no real ale on tap. Which is ironic, as Loanhead has its own award-winning microbrewery, Stewart Brewing, very near to the Pentland Roadhouse. The brewery sells direct to the public too, so if you're a real ale afficionado (or afficionada) check them out at
