Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2009
VENUES FOR THE MUSIC FESTIVAL
Loanhead is not very big, but I've always preferred to know where things are going on rather than waste time searching the streets of an unfamiliar town for where it's at, so I've included a map, and a short description of each of the venues.

THE COG HORN SCULPTURE
Ideal meeting place
and next to The Mason's Arms,
the centre of the festival

Details and timings of the various events will be displayed in the adjacent notice board
EX-SERVICEMENS CLUB
Locally known simply as LEX, the club has an excellent function hall which they very kindly make available for our concert, and post-concert late session. The hall has full bar facilities, and the club has disabled access.

Opening hours:
8.00pm - Midnight

CROFT SUITE, MINERS WELFARE CLUB
The Miners Welfare Social Club with its refurbished and enlarged Croft Suite is the venue for both the Saturday afternoon Open Stage event and the evening Ceilidh. The song writing and recycled instrument competitions also take place here. In addition, the rear area houses the Craft fair.

Craft Fair
11am - 4pm

Open Mic
Noon - 5pm

Competitions
From 2pm

THE MASONS ARMS
Paddy's (The Masons Arms) is the base for the festival.
The lounge is the best area for playing in.
Try not to block the door to the ladies toilet!
You can spill over into the bar if you wish.

On Fri & Sat
doors shut at 11.30pm
last orders around 12:30am

Food may be eaten in lounge or bar

THE FORRESTERS ARMS
(also known as the middle shop)
The Lounge bar is a good session location. The pool room to the rear of the public bar may also be used.

GAFFERS
Large bar area and a beer garden.
Good afternoon venue.
Food may be available

Gaffers remains closed.

THE ROADHOUSE
The Roadhouse is slightly off the beaten track, but is easily reached from the Leisure Centre. There's an ample car park if you want to drive up. It has a large rear room ideal for sessions, and a management keen to be involved in the festival. Go on, give it a try!

Serves good food all day

THE MAYFLOWER ( Formerly Village Inn )
Closest to the campsite, the Village Inn is a pub restaurant, serving excellent and well priced food till at least 9pm each night.
Sessions in the bar, and at the owner's discretion, in the main area.
